Committee sanctions proposal dismissing charges on imports cancellation

27/07/2010 06h30

The Committee on Finances and Taxation sanctioned Bill 5620/09, of Deputy Paes Landim, dismissing charging on the cancellation or termination of export exchange contracts. The measure provided in the project is applied to goods, services and financial transfers from abroad.

The Rapporteur, Deputy Ricardo Berzoini, recommended the sanction. According to him, the proposal does not affect the revenue or the Union’s expenses. Moreover, it dismisses the financial burden levied on exporters, who for any reason are not able to complete businesses, by the shipment of goods or the provision of contracted services or financial transfer.

The text was sanctioned as substitute of the Committee on Economic Development, Commerce and Industry, which promote technical legislative amendments not changing the content. The Committee proposed and sanctioned the substitute last March.

The project should still be evaluated by the Constitution and Justice Committee.
