Brazilian Deputy is reelected as President of Fipa

Deputy Luiz Carlos Hauly (PSDB-PR), Brazilian representative in the Inter-parliamentary Forum of the Americas (Fipa), was reelected President of the collegiate for two more years.

The election was carried out during the 6th sitting of the forum, in Ottawa, between September 12th and 15th. The sitting was attended by 22 delegations, 80 representatives, and observers from several countries.

The group debated the global economic financial crisis, migration, human rights and food safety. The representatives also expressed concern over the Health, indicating that larger budgets may be approved in order to ensure the responsible use of recommended antiviral drugs.
