Chinaglia: the Chamber was the first Parliament in the world to be carbon neutral

On Tuesday (11/19), the president of the Chamber, Arlindo Chinaglia, formalized a partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unison), to develop the "Water Project – Education for Life". The project previews investments, in the next six years, in environmental education initiatives, based on the mapping of Brazilian draining basins.

Chinaglia reminded that the Chamber has been adopting measures to compensate its carbon emissions and was the first Parliament in the world to be carbon neutral. He highlighted that the Chamber cannot be absent from subjects related to environment.

The Water Project is coordinated by Deputy Narcio Rodrigues (PSDB-MG). Among its partners are the Cousteau Foundation and the National Water Agency (ANA).
