Brazilian congresspeople travel to Paraguay and Bolivia

Situation of “Braziguayan” and energy issues are at the agenda of meetings

A group of 8 congresspeople, led by the President of the Committee on Foreign Relations and National Defense, Marcondes Gadelha (PSB-PB), traveled on Thursday (12/4) to Paraguay. The deputies have an audience with the President of the neighboring country, Fernando Lago. On Saturday, they will continue their trip to Bolivia.
The purpose of those visits is to discuss the situation of Brazilians living at the borders between Brazil and these two countries, and to obtain information about energy issues, such as the contract of the Power Plant of Itaipu, and the natural-gas supply from Bolivia.
