Após a ampliação do Edifício Principal da Câmara no início da década de 70, Oscar Niemeyer elaborou um projeto de decoração do Salão Verde e do Salão Nobre, incluindo obras de arte e mobiliário, para atender à proposta de delimitar os espaços e valorizar os ambientes do Salão Verde.

Marianne Peretti tem vários trabalhos instalados no Palácio. No painel Araguaia, por exemplo, ela utilizou uma técnica que parece dar movimento às figuras geométricas colocadas sobre o vidro, lembrando o curso de um rio.

Pintora, escultora e desenhista. Colaboradora de Oscar Niemeyer em muitos de seus projetos de integração arte-arquitetura. Realizou os seus primeiros estudos de arte na Escola de Arte Decorativa e na Academie de la Grande Chaumière, Paris. Seus desenhos ilustraram livros como La Grèce, de Dore Ogrizec e o Almanach de Saint-German-des-Près. Transferiu-se para o Brasil em 1953, residindo em São Paulo. Dedica-se à criação de vitrais, esculturas e relevos para edifícios públicos e residências particulares. Possui obras nos seguintes prédios de Oscar Niemeyer: Câmara dos Deputados, Senado Federal, Palácio do Jaburu, Memorial Juscelino Kubitschek, Teatro Nacional, Catedral de Brasília e Superior Tribunal de Justiça, todos em Brasília; na sede da Revista Manchete, no Rio de Janeiro; no Edifício Burgo, em Turim, Itália; e na Maison de la Culture du Havre, na França.

Painter, sculptor, and draughtswoman. She collaborated with architect Oscar Niemeyer on numerous projects devoted to the integration of art and architecture. She undertook her initial artistic training at the School of Decorative Arts and at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. Her drawings illustrated publications such as La Grèce, by Dore Ogrizec, and the Almanach de Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

She moved to Brazil in 1953, settling in São Paulo. Her practice focused on the creation of stained glass, sculptures, and reliefs for public buildings and private residences. Her works are integrated into several buildings designed by Oscar Niemeyer, including the Chamber of Deputies, the Federal Senate, the Palácio do Jaburu, the Juscelino Kubitschek Memorial, the National Theatre, the Cathedral of Brasília, and the Superior Court of Justice, all in Brasília; the headquarters of Revista Manchete in Rio de Janeiro; the Burgo Building in Turin, Italy; and the Maison de la Culture du Havre, France.

About the works of art

After the expansion of the Chamber of Deputies’ Min Building in the early 1970s, Oscar Niemeyer developed an interior design project for the Green Hall (Salão Verde) and the Noble Hall (Salão Nobre), incorporating works of art and furniture. The proposal aimed to define the spatial organization and enhance the architectural qualities of the Green Hall.

Marianne Peretti has several works installed in the Palace. In the Araguaia panel, for example, she employed a technique that lends a sense of movement to the geometric forms applied to the glass, evoking the flow of a river.
